I’m a new Mac user so, couldn’t understand what the error message was all about. As there is no direction on how to solve it. On the next screen, there was some indication about something was wrong with my account settings. It was not the first time Before this, I had already faced this problem on the day of the public final release of Yosemite.

On that day I tried to upgrade and received the same error. I was looking for some suggestions on the internet. People were thinking it may be a problem for the Apple store. A lot of people were trying to download it because it was a brand new release and a free upgrade for OS X.

Everybody was irritated by this warning message “There was an error in the App store. Please try again later. (null)” I was getting the same message every day then, I guessed something must be wrong.

As there was nothing about security info. So, I keep on skipping this message. I was not serious about this message because this apple ID was used by me without this screen.

After some time, I filled in the security info. I was not sure about this experiment, it was only a try. Awesome! it was successful. Now, I was able to download and update Yosemite on my MacBook Pro laptop.
